Meet The Doctor

Dr. Omer Akmal completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology at George Washington University, followed by his DDS degree at Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He furthered his education with a focus on Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), where he honed his skills in advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures. Deepening his passion for surgical dentistry, he pursued an additional three years of intensive training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Akmal's empathetic nature, coupled with his understanding of patient anxieties, stems from his background in Psychology, making him a compassionate caregiver. He excels in alleviating patient concerns and explaining complex dental issues and their solutions. His patient-centric approach emphasizes building strong relationships, fostering patient education about their oral health, and encouraging active participation in their treatment plan.

An esteemed member of the "American Academy of Periodontics," Dr. Akmal is a Board Certified professional. Outside of his dental practice, he indulges in exploring the diverse arts and culinary delights of the DC area, and enjoys football, soccer, traveling, and rock climbing.
