Meet The Doctor
Nathan Tenney, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Nathan Tenney graduated summa cum laude from Boise State University in 2009. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2013 from Midwestern University Dental School, where he graduated at the top of his class.
Following his graduation, Dr. Tenney served four years of active duty in the United States Army. During this time, he received extensive training and mentorship from specialists across various fields of dentistry. He also spent over a month with the oral surgery department, gaining valuable experience in trauma care, anesthesia, and surgical procedures in the operating room. After returning to civilian life, Dr. Tenney now focuses on providing exceptional, safe, and comfortable dental care to patients of all ages in the Surpirse area.
Dr. Tenney has pursued advanced training in numerous dental specialties, including cosmetic dentistry, porcelain veneers, full mouth rehabilitation, sedation dentistry, dental implants, and the use of cutting-edge dental technology. He is also a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a prestigious honor held by fewer than 5% of all dentists.
Outside of work, Dr. Tenney enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children—two daughters and a son. He loves staying active through water skiing, surfing, hiking, and running. He has participated in the St. George Marathon and several triathlons. An avid cook, Dr. Tenney enjoys preparing meals on his Traeger grill and is passionate about modeling a healthy and active lifestyle for his children.
